Yoga Safari - A safari with a difference!

How it all began: After well over 15 years of working in the safari industry in Botswana, Deborah decided she wanted to offer a slightly different type of safari to the norm; one that combined safaris with yoga; two of her passions. The idea came about because she continually heard guests say that whilst they were on safari, they sat too much; getting bounced around in the 4x4 vehicles, ate too much; 5 meals a day isn't unheard of, and because of this, they wanted to get out and stretch. So, with her yoga teaching background she decided to add two of her passions together - safaris and yoga - and started Yoga Safari in 2008.

In 2013 she met her partner Stephen James O'Meara who is a well known astronomer, and he moved to be with her in Botswana. They were married in July 2017. They have now added stargazing to Yoga Safari's portfolio, and offer Yoga and Star Gazing Safaris and Retreats, Yoga Safaris, Star Safari's and Traditional Safaris, each of which visits incredible locations both in Botswana and around the world.

And most recently they have added the Star Safari that gives you a guided safari to not only view the animals, but also the amazing night sky with Stephen and his telescope.
